Common questions
Which cat breeds work best?
All of them. Tabbies and tuxedo cats give strong markings to colour in, Maine Coons and Persians produce rich fur detail, and short-haired breeds like Siamese and Bengals come out with clean, bold outlines. Black cats work too, as long as the photo has enough light to show where the features are.
My cat is black — will it just be a silhouette?
Not if the photo is reasonably lit. The AI reads edges rather than colour, so it finds the eyes, ears and fur direction. A photo taken in daylight or near a window gives it much more to work with than one taken in a dark room.
Does my cat need to be looking at the camera?
No. Profiles, curled-up sleeping poses and over-the-shoulder glances all work well. A photo where the whole cat is in frame and in focus matters more than the direction it is facing.
